About Us
Family owned and operated, Brides by Young was born from the idea that every woman, regardless of her shape or size, should experience the joys of finding her dream dress. The inspiration came to Young from one of her very own brides who told her that she wished she could have tried on at least 10 wedding dress styles - not too demanding of a wish!
After this seed was planted in Young's mind, she knew that she would one day open Brides by Young to change the status quo of wedding dress shopping.
“A decade ago when we opened our first Brides by Young, we wanted to give you choices and offer you a true range of sample sizes to try on instead of being limited to the standard “sample bridal size 10 or 12”. We succeeded in this mission! Now, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to step up once again and be a true leader of Size Inclusive.
Not only are we giving you the best selection out there, we take great pride that we work with brides to allow them to express their true selves, to feel their most beautiful and confident. Making sure that our customers are provided with this opportunity by designers is also part of our mission. That all women feel represented and heard, that fit and styles are no longer catered to a status quo body image. We are extremely proud of the many improvements that we’ve been able to be a part of for bridal and beyond, and we can’t wait to see what more work we can do together.
We are improving daily, making sure to bring you a range of fashion from around the world. On top of bridal, we’ve now added evening and mother’s gowns to all of our stores! We’ll keep working to better ourselves and our selections- doing what we do and doing it well.

Young has combined almost three decades of bridal management and manufacturing expertise to create Brides by Young - the largest plus size bridal salon in the world! The three locations (Indianapolis IN & Rochelle Park NJ & Schaumburg IL) each boast over 400 wedding dress styles. This is just one of the many reasons that makes Young's vision for Brides by Young unique, our commitment to invest our energies to select the most beautiful collection of gowns in a range of sample sizes from 14-34.

In addition to the amazing designers that we carry, Young also created her own bridal styles inspired by the ideas of our own customers, which has become our exclusive Unforgettable by Young collection! - designed specifically for the curvy bride. The private collection is personally taken from concept to reality by Young, including the selection of fabrics, patterns, colors, and construction. The Unforgettable by Young collection offers high quality gowns inspired by you with the flexibility for custom sizing so that any of our brides not only feel beautiful, but comfortable.
